Entrepreneurship 12

 

Course Outline:

Entrepreneurship 12 is designed to help students grow their business ideas into a workable business plan and to help develop some lifelong business skills. The course teaches students to plan, research, develop and implement venture plans that link technical and managerial resources and innovation. The course is self paced, with instruction delivered via lesson pages. Student learning is demonstrated through unit assignments and reflections, graded by the course teacher. Each unit carries a different weight towards the course grade, according to skill and content related to the entrepreneurial enterprise. Face to face support is available during an online support block or at a connect session. Students have one year to complete the course.

Unit 5 - Exposure

 

Course Grading:

The Idea - 20%

The Bones - 15%

Video Responses - 10%

The Business Plan - 30%

Exposure - 25%

 

Resources: 

There is NO textbook required for this course. Students will need a computer with internet access and headphones/speakers. 

 

Keys to Success: 

  1. Set a schedule so that you are working on the course either everyday or every second day. There should be no big gaps, with the hope of catching up. This is VERY important!
  2. Actively work through each lesson, completing the activities and reflecting on material.
  3. Use the activities as your tool for documenting your understanding. Your work should be neat and well organized.
  4. Make sure you understand all the lesson content If you can’t figure it out – ASK for help!
  5. Be sure to use your Moodle message system for regular communication with your instructor.
